Vacuum Suction Cup

Also known as a suction cup, it is also called a vacuum lifter. When it comes into contact with the object to be sucked, it creates a temporary sealed space, and after removing or thinning the air in the sealed space, it uses the pressure difference between the inside and outside to work as a pneumatic element.

Vacuum is generated by adsorbing air in the vacuum chamber through the high-speed flow of compressed air to create negative pressure in the vacuum chamber.

Applications of Vacuum Suction Pads

In vacuum applications, there are sealing systems and non-sealing systems.

Sealing System

A sealing system refers to applications where there is no leakage between the suction cup and the object being adsorbed.

A sealing system is usually used for handling glass plates, smooth metal plates, vacuuming containers, testing equipment or devices for airtightness, etc.

Non-sealing System

A non-sealing system refers to applications where there is a leak between the suction cup and the object being adsorbed. For example, when handling objects with pores or rough surfaces, leakage occurs through the edge of the suction cup, or it may be applied to situations where both leaks occur simultaneously.

A non-sealing system is usually used for handling cardboard boxes, foam board objects (which mainly leak through the object being handled), handling rough metal plates, ceramic tiles, etc. (which mainly leak through the edge of the vacuum suction cup).

Types and Applications of Vacuum Suction Pads 

Vacuum suction cups are generally divided into flat suction cups, 1.5-fold corrugated suction cups, and multi-fold corrugated suction cups.

Flat Suction Cup

Short compression stroke, can achieve quick handling; suitable for handling objects with a flat surface; suitable for horizontal or vertical heavy handling and flipping.

1.5-fold Corrugated Suction Cup

Larger compression stroke, can adequately compensate for uneven objects; suitable for handling objects with uneven or curved surfaces; suitable for horizontal or vertical handling and slight flipping.

Multi-fold Corrugated Suction Cup

Larger compression stroke, can compensate to a greater extent for uneven objects; suitable for handling objects with uneven or curved surfaces; limited load capacity, not suitable for quick handling and flipping.
